Woman in wheelchair shopping with friends; Disney Springs

We will be at Disney Springs over the next couple of weeks while staying at a Bonnet Creek hotel. We will be taking a ride share from the resort, which lets us off way on each side. I would like to come in and get a wheel chair more centrally. Can we?

How ya doin', Jean, and welcome back to planDisney!

My mom and I are no strangers to getting around the Walt Disney World Resort with mobility challenges. She's notorious for doing donuts in her ECV while in Disney Springs. I'm happy to help with a few tips and tricks to keep you rolling with all your shopping bags from World of Disney

Rideshares have specific locations where they're allowed to pick up and drop off Guests. But not to worry, there are Cast Members available at those drop-off locations to help Guests address concerns and with wheelchair assistance if needed. While there are certainly wheelchair and ECV rentals available once inside Disney Springs, honestly, I would consider renting my own wheelchair or ECV from a Disney Featured Provider like ScooterBug. You can have one delivered directly to your hotel, and there are even options that break down easily to be loaded into a trunk. My mom and I have had great luck with these options, and they've made our vacations much easier as we make magic with her mobility issues.

Jean, I hope you have a lovely time during your visit. I hope you've snagged a reservation at The BOATHOUSE to fill you up on filet mignon sliders. You've got to keep your strength up for all that shopping. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
