Welcome to planDisney, Colin! You're soon to embark on a grand adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort, exploring Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, Disney Springs, and everything in between! Getting around the Most Magical Place on Earth is part of the fun, honestly, so let's talk all about
Disney Resort Transportation so you'll be ready to travel by whatever magical means are necessary to get to your next destination!
Currently, Disney does not offer bus transportation between theme parks and
Disney Springs, so to travel between these two destinations, you will want to travel to a Disney Resort hotel and then catch a bus to Disney Springs. From EPCOT, there are several Disney Resort hotels located just beyond the International Gateway entrance like
Disney's BoardWalk Inn, so you could conveniently walk or even catch a
FriendShip Boat to this resort before taking a bus to Disney Springs. Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort are also just beyond this back entrance for a quick transfer from the park to Disney Springs.
From the Ticket and Transportation Center, you have a few options as well, including using the
Disney Monorail to bring you to one of the Magic Kingdom Resorts such as
Disney's Contemporary Resort or
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa where you can take a bus directly to Disney Springs. Of course, from any theme park if you're looking for a more direct route or to save a little time, you can utilize a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft and even the
MinnieVan Service through the Lyft app is available for a magical transfer within the Disney Resort area.
I'm excited to hear you'll be spending some time making a splash during your summer visit! At this time, and through the summer months, Guests can visit
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park to take a break from the heat and dive into some aquatic adventures! Since we've been discussing transportation, remember that if you're staying as a Guest at a Disney Resort hotel, you will use the Disney bus service to get to Disney Springs and then transfer to the Typhoon Lagoon bus for access to the water park. While you're there, be sure to brave the
Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster and grab the family for a trip down
Miss Adventure Falls, where the whole crew can raft down white water rapids together!
Colin, you are in for some really exciting new
summer experiences this year, too! The highly anticipated opening of
Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom was just confirmed for June 28; so by the time you arrive, you'll be ready to drop on in and celebrate the spirit of New Orleans with Tiana and friends! Can you believe we're
Almost There? As you continue to
Dig a Little Deeper into your planning, feel free to come back if you have any other questions!
See you real soon,
Alison
