Hey Gayle! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney Springs is the ultimate shopping, dining, and entertainment experience that Disney offers to the Orlando area. Even if you aren't staying at one of the Disney resorts, you can visit this outdoor facility. It's an extension of the Disney parks but doesn't have any character experiences. There's plenty of high-end shopping and tons of places to eat lunch, dinner, or just dessert. Disney Springs is where we like to go on our off day from the theme parks.
An amphitheater is there too. We've been strolling through Disney Springs and heard some of the world's most talented bands and orchestras entertaining guests as they enjoy a meal. Seating is also offered if you want to sit and watch.
During the
holidays, there are beautiful Christmas decorations, and in the past years, they featured a Christmas Tree Trail that leads to Santa Claus. I'm sure there will be some new holiday experiences during your visit in November. There's also a ferry that can take you to Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside and French Quarters, Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resorts. Amphicars, which is a car that becomes a boat, gives guests private tours of the Disney Springs area from land and water.
Gayle, I'm sure there's something that every member of your family will enjoy about Disney Springs. Oh, I almost forgot. Don't forget your walking shoes. Disney Springs is pretty big, and you'll need those shoes to experience the world's largest Disney merchandise store, World of Disney! And if you have any basketball fans in your group, they'll really enjoy the new
NBA Experience!
Have a magical time at Disney, Gayle! Please stop by and visit with us again soon if you have more questions!
