Does Disney have specific days a pool will close? Looking to take my toddler in January and was going between on All Star Music or PO french quarter but both of those will have the main pool down starting in Jan. So curious if specific days are given?

Hi, Jessica welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for coming here with your question.

Let me tell you something you know how to start the new year off right. The second week of the new year you are vacationing at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” This trip will be a magical one for sure. Toddlers bring their own bit of magic to the parks.

Walt Disney World Resort is a huge vacation destination and sometimes it needs some touch-ups, repairs, and sometimes full overhauls. From the road signs to the resort pools. Refurbishment is not only necessary but sometimes a welcomed refresh. There is always a schedule for maintenance and most times the resort website has updates. Disney’s Port Orleans - French Quarter just so happens to have scheduled maintenance for the Doubloon Lagoon Pool from January 2024 to early April 2024. But guests will be able to use Ol’ Man Island at the sister resort Disney's Port Orleans- Riverside during the maintenance. The good news is the other resort option is not only a terrific option but it does not have an announced pool maintenance scheduled during your stay. Disney’s All Star Music has the Calypso Pool for your little one, there is a smaller more shallow version at the Calypso Kiddie Pool.

If you decide to stay at Disney's Port Orleans- French Quarter make sure you head over to the Scat Cat’s Club- Cafe. This location houses the most heavenly clouds of deliciousness. They say everything Mickey-shaped tastes better this is no exception. The Mickey-shaped beignets are the main draw and can easily be the highlight of your day.

I hope this information helps you figure out which resort fits your needs. Visit us again at planDisney.com for other tips and tricks to ma

    Have a magical stay,
