    Disney is a special place for my husband and I. It is where we got engaged and announced to the world that we were getting married. Now, we are expecting our first child and want to share the news in an exciting way. What are some suggestions to announce?

    CONGRATULATIONS Sierra! That is very exciting news indeed & I can't think of a better place to announce it to the world than Disney World!

    I'm not sure if you will have people with you or if you want to broadcast it through some social media outlet while you're there. If you're going to have people with you, do it as soon as possible. We announced our pregnancy at Disney but almost didn't make it until the planned time because they knew something was up when I wouldn't ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster - my favorite.

    If you're planning to do it through social media, a very cleaver picture will be key. If you don't know if its a boy or girl, pick up a light blue & a pink ("My First Ears") earhat. You could take a picture with Mickey (or your favorite character or one you plan to use in the nursery) & the hats. You could all be pondering if its going to be a boy or girl.

    Buy a pink & a blue Mickey ear balloon & have your picture taken with the Partners Statue in the hub in front of Cinderella Castle announcing you're adding a "New Partner" to your family.

    Take a picture with a Disney stroller & say that you're doing your research for your next trip.  Just make sure you have a fabulous backdrop like the Castle.

    If you plan to announce to people with you on the trip, you could make a special dining reservation. Arrive a few minutes early & ask the hostess to give your waiter something to bring over (something Disney baby related). See how long it takes your family to figure it out. You could also arrange for a specialty cake to be served as dessert. Take the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage & when Patch the Pirate asks about any celebrations, tell him you're adding a new buccaneer to your crew. Be sure to pick up "I'm Celebrating" buttons for you & your party to have on hand after the announcement.
