Hoppy Almost Spring, Nancy!
Thanks for bouncing by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Save for Christmas,
Easter at Walt Disney World Resort is my absolute favorite time of the yEAR!
Epcot's International Flower & Garden Festival offers a bounty of
springtime fun, and the Resort is awash in the bright colors and flowers of spring!
We have spent the past two yEARs at Walt Disney World Resort over the Easter holiday, and have had eggs-cellent adventures with our littles! Special Characters showed up in
Magic Kingdom Park, and most of
the Resorts hosted Easter-related activities, including Egg Hunt/Candy Scrambles and Character Greetings. We stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and they had a fabulous hunt. My kiddos got to meet Mr. & Mrs. Easter Bunny and make pop art with paint-filled eggs! We just missed Donald Duck dressed up in his Easter finery while we were at breakfast, but other Guests took the most delightful pictures with him!
The hunt at our Resort was divided by age, roughly littles (under three), middle and big kids. There was plenty of room for parents to participate with the kiddos, and I even saw a teenager or two with a basket (can you blame them?)! If everyone wants to join, I suggest
Epcot's Egg-stravaganza. It is a delightful hunt throughout the World Showcase with a specially-designed map. My kiddos loved spotting the "eggs" on the balcony in Italy and the greenery in Canada, but I honestly think my husband and I had just as much fun! We now proudly display the eggs we've gathered over the past few yEARs in our spring decor!
Nancy, don't worry about packing an
Easter Basket. In the past, most of the Resorts have offered pre-made and custom gift baskets, and there are plenty of
basket-worthy gifts at Disney Springs. We've also taken advantage of the fantastic
Disney Floral & Gifts, who will deliver gorgeous baskets to your Resort hotel.
I wish you a hoppin' good time at the 'World!
