Hi there, Michaela, and welcome back to planDisney!
Thanks for coming back to visit us—your Disney World vacation is getting closer and closer every day. As a mom of two, I am just the gal to help you with your question. Let’s dive right into your upcoming scenario.
First, as you may have heard, little ones who are younger than 3 years old are “Guests of Mickey.” What does that mean? They do not need a
theme park ticket or reservation in order to pass the Mickey-shaped entry points. The only thing that I recommend that families do is to at least include their babies in the head count for advanced dining reservations in order for the restaurant Cast Members to prepare.
Speaking of Disney World restaurants, children under 3 can also eat at All-You-Care-To-Enjoy restaurants, like
Whispering Canyon Cafe, at no additional charge. Any restaurant that has a buffet or family-style service is absolutely free for Guests of Mickey. This is a major reason why my family gravitated towards these restaurant types when our kiddos were itty bitty. My all-time favorites? Character dining restaurants like Magic Kingdom’s
Crystal Palace and EPCOT’s
Garden Grill. Your baby boy will have no problems eating from your skillets or plates.
AN EXTRA GEM: You should
always ask for ketchup while at Whispering Canyon!
September will be here before you know it, and I think that your tiny Mouseketeer is in for so much fun! Remember to take it easy and enjoy all of the big—and little—moments. It feels like my own sons were 2 years old only days ago. I’m just grateful that I have been able to fill their childhoods with the magic of Disney World. If you have any other questions, Michaela, please
revisit us here at planDisney!
Magic always,
LeAndra
