Hey, howdy, hey, Flor!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m pleased to have an opportunity to help plan for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort. As a parent of children with autism myself, I understand the importance of keeping routines consistent. The Disneyland Resort is great for accommodating
guests with disabilities, including
cognitive disabilities. Although, there are still
guidelines in place for the safety of guests. Those rules indicate that knives are prohibited in the theme parks. Whether or not a pizza cutter would be considered a knife might be debatable. But I’d hate to have anything potentially hold you up at the security checkpoint. After all, the
Security Cast Members like to be as consistent as they can too. So I would recommend not taking the blade with you. As an alternative, you may use the utensils provided at the
dining locations you visit. But if a rolling cutter is particularly important, I think it may be ok to use a pizza cutter made of plastic or nylon instead of metal, such as the type that is designed to avoid damaging non-stick surfaces.
My family sure does enjoy pizza at the Disneyland Resort too. My son’s favorite is at
Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta in
Disney California Adventure Park. I like going there too because my wife and I can pick the delicious Five-Cheese Ravioli and Chicken Caesar Salad. Our family also enjoys the delicious pizza at
Naples Ristorante e Bar in the
Downtown Disney District. The newly-remodeled
Alien Pizza Planet in
Disneyland Park is another fun location to enjoy a nice slice or two as well. I think their alien-shaped macarons are out of this world!
Bon appétit, Flor!
