Going to Disney, short last minute vaca. Big Disney fans, since 1981. Daughter was in college program. Haven't been in maybe 10 years. Don't know as much as I would like to know. What are absolute musts to see? Magic Kingdom? Epcot?

    Hi Linda,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Last-minute, quick-visit Walt Disney World vacations can be so much fun. Mickey is sure to say "welcome back!"

Walt Disney once said of Disneyland, "The park means a lot to me in that it's something that will never be finished. Something that I can keep developing, keep plussing and adding to — it's alive. It will be a live, breathing thing that will need changes." The same is true for Walt Disney World. If it's been a decade since your visit, you're sure to enjoy the classic attractions you remember, and you'll also experience the plussing.

My first absolute must-do for you is Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Pandora's Valley of Mo'ara is simply breathtaking — especially at night. Avatar Flight of Passage, as I have taken to saying, is indescribably awesome.

Also on my must-do list is Disney Springs — what you'll recall as Downtown Disney — a new and entirely re-imagined destination for upscale shopping, inventive and delicious dining, and entertainment.

Of course, no trip to Walt Disney World is complete without a visit to Magic Kingdom. The lands are as adventurous, wildly fun, enchanting, and imaginative as you remember. New Fantasyland and Storybook Circus will be a fresh experience for you, as will Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Be Our Guest Restaurant.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
