We come to Disney on 25th September for our first time! With a 3 yr old girl I am desperate to book some character meals, but it says no availability. Gutted. Have I left it too late to book anything

    Hi Paula!

Planning a First Visit to the Walt Disney World Resort can be a bit overwhelming especially when brining along a Preschooler. A lot of Guests (myself included) are big planners! Never fear though, even if you feel late for a very important date…chances are you will be able to find something if you just keep trying!

Dining Reservations can be made starting 180 days from your arrival date. Although I have noticed that reservations do fill up quickly, as your vacation date approaches, you may find out that people’s plans begin to change…opening up an opportunity for you to grab that reservation of your dreams!  I do have a couple of suggestions so that you can hopefully bring your sweet little girl to dine with the characters! First is to check over and over and over again. I often check for reservations in the morning and evening. A lot can change in a little amount of time so you may find availability just by being consistent with checking! Second if possible be flexible! Did you know that you can find Character meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?  You can also find Character meals in all of the Theme Parks and also at some of the Resort hotels. You don’t have to be a guest in any specific Resort hotel to dine there so if you can check any and all available options and times. Lastly if all else fails, once you are at Disney it doesn’t hurt to try to just walk up and ask a Cast Member at a podium if there is any availability. I have often had some luck trying this myself!

I hope that you have a magical First Visit! Come see us again real soon!
