Will be at Disney Sept 13-19, with my 5yo. We have tickets for MNSSHP on Tuesday the 15th. I wonder if we should do MK for our first two days or do MK first day and do a diff park, say Animal Kingdom the second day and then hop back for the party.

If it were me, I'd opt for just one full day at Magic Kingdom, plus the party.  Granted, with a 5 year-old, you'll have lots to do at Magic Kingdom, but a full day plus party time should give you plenty of opportunities to tour the Magic Kingdom, especially if you arrive early on that first day there.  One thing my family loves about Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is the ability to experience so many great attractions with hardly any wait time.  Since you'll have that opportunity to explore the Magic Kingdom, I can't imagine you needing two full additional days there.  Instead, spread the love around some of the other theme/water parks on that other day.  I think you'll be glad you did!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
