We are going to Disney in Sept and have the Dining Pkg. I know it does not include gratuity. Will we need to pay at the time of dinner, or will it go onto our bill at the resort?

    Hi, Shannon!

Great question - I really appreciate that you are planning ahead to acknowledge the fantastic service you are sure to receive.

There is always a second transaction option available after you settle your table-service credits.

After your meal, you'll receive a check reflecting the full out-of-pocket cost. This will allow you to calculate a tip or use the 15% or 20% amounts that will be provided for you. at this time, you can choose to use table service credits or pay with cash or credit/debit.

Be sure to tell your server that you are on the Disney Dining Plan before the check is calculated. This way, you are sure to receive the "second transaction" option.

If you intend to offer a gratuity in cash, write "CASH" or "00" in the gratuity line on your initial check.

If you want to tip on your Key to the World or on a credit/debit care, tell your server the amount before s/he swipes your Key to the World.

When the server runs your Key to the World for the Dining Plan, s/he will return with a receipt featuring zeros for all amounts covered by the Dining Plan, with the gratuity and other out-of-pocket items (additional food, alcoholic beverages) at non-zero, You'll need to sign this receipt in order to acknowledge the use of Table Service credits.

If your dining party consists of six or more people, your bill will reflect an automatic 18% gratuity, standard at all Disney table-service restaurants,.You can charge that to your Key to the World or, again, offer cash, credit, or debit.

Have a wonderful trip - and enjoy!

    See you later, celebrator,
