Does Disney still send familys a welcome video for upcoming visit?

    Hiya, Carrie!

Welcome to planDisney! It looks like you’re getting ready to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth during the very merriest time of the year...the holiday season! How exciting!

While Walt Disney World no longer mails out those fun planning videos and brochures ahead of your trip, I have plenty of ideas to help build the excitement and give you a little taste of all the magic that’s waiting for you!

A great place to start is right on the planDisney website itself. We’ve put together a collection of helpful planning videos designed to answer some of the most common vacation questions. You’ll find helpful content for guidance on must-do attractions for little Mouseketeers to tips for navigating EPCOT’s festivals. There’s even a video dedicated to Holidays at Walt Disney World. New videos are added regularly, so it’s always worth taking a peek to see the latest updates and fresh planning advice!

Another wonderful place to find inspiration is the official Disney Parks YouTube channel. With thousands of videos spanning everything from attraction sneak peeks to behind-the-scenes stories and special announcements, it’s easy to fall down a magical rabbit hole of content. Whether you’re looking for helpful planning tips or simply want to soak in the excitement, there’s plenty to explore…and their newest release is sure to give you all the feels!

You may also want to follow along on the planDisney Instagram page. As panelists, we’re everyday Disney Guests just like you, and we enjoy sharing our firsthand experiences, favorite tips, and honest perspectives on what’s new and noteworthy throughout the parks. It’s a fun way to see the magic through real families who are right there experiencing it, too!

And finally, if you happen to have a Disney+ subscription, you have access to a treasure trove of park-inspired content. The platform features several fascinating documentaries that dive into the history, storytelling, and creativity behind the magic. A few standout titles include Destination: Walt Disney World, Behind the Attraction, Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and The Imagineering Story.

While Disneyland Handcrafted centers more on Disneyland, it’s absolutely worth your time. It features rare, never-before-seen footage from the creation of the original park and offers a beautiful glimpse into Walt’s vision coming to life. Watching that dream unfold on screen makes stepping into the parks feel even more meaningful.

Carrie, I hope these ideas help you dive into the wonderful world that awaits at the Most Magical Place on Earth! As you continue planning this exciting adventure, if any other questions come to mind, we’d love to see you back here at planDisney. We’re always happy to help make your trip as magical as possible!
