Hello Kim,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Disney's Magical Express, a complimentary shuttle service from the airport to Walt Disney World, officially ended in 2021. There are still multiple ways to get from the airport to your resort, you'll just need to make reservations and pay separately for the service.
For our next trip, we are trying out a car service. Sometimes guests tend to overlook these, thinking that they are too expensive, but they are more affordable than you might think. Although we don't need them anymore, our driver provides car seats and will stop at a convenience store on the way to our resort so we can pick up water, sunscreen, and any other snacks or toiletries that we didn't pack in our carry on luggage. Not every company provides these services, but many do, so it's worth asking when you are researching your transportation options.
My friend and fellow panelist,
Doug, outlines some fantastic options: shuttle services, taxis, ride share services (like Uber and Lyft), rental cars, and car services. It takes a little extra effort (and cost) on your part, but there are several options to choose from, whether you are trying to save money, get to the resort without making several stops along the way, or want the flexibility that having your own car provides.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
