Hi Teresa! Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your question!
I love using my
Disney Premier Visa Card for everyday purchases
and purchases while on vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. I especially love to use my
Disney Rewards Redemption Card to apply my Disney Rewards Dollars toward purchases at the resort. This form of payment can be used at
many different locations while on vacation. Personally, I love to use these rewards on meals, snacks, souvenirs, and
Lightning Lane purchases.
When completing online check-in, the card you put on file must be a credit or debit card. I am happy to report, however, that you
can use your Disney Rewards Redemption Card to pay down any charges you and your travel party have made to the room as long as you do so before your checkout day. Simply go to the front desk of your hotel and tell them you'd like to pay for some (or all) of your room charges with this card. They will complete that transaction for you.
I have friends who do this and they will often go to the front desk each night of their vacation and use the card to pay down their room charges so that the balance doesn't get too high and they don't forget to use their precious rewards! Please note that any balance remaining on your room at the time of checkout will be charged to the credit card on file. This is why it's important for you to do this the night before you checkout.
Teresa, don't forget to look on the
Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World website when booking your next vacation as there are often discounts for Disney Premier Visa Cardholders at various times throughout the year. Also, be sure to check out any
discounts that you may be able to take advantage of when making purchases across the resort using your Disney Premier Visa Card. Lastly, did you know that there's even a
Disney Visa Cardmember Photo Opportunity at EPCOT? This card certainly helps to unlock a lot of magic! Please note that all offers are subject to change.
Have a wonderful trip!
When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do,
Matt
