I have Disney Reward card from Disney Visa & Disney gift cards. I’m wondering if I can use either or is one or other not accepted for some purchases? In particular at Disney World, park tickets, Hoop-de-doo Revue. Same question for Disney cruise.

Hey Howdy Hey Connie and welcome back to planDisney!

There are so many tricks and tips to trying to save some money for a trip to Walt Disney World Resort and it looks like you have two of the biggest! Some places offer Disney Gift Cards at discounts or with special rewards to take advantage of which is one of the best deals. Having the Disney Rewards card through Chase is another. Racking up those Disney Rewards points to use for your trips on everyday purchases is such a great way to save! So the big question is, where can you use them, right? Well, let's talk about where you can and might have difficulty using them.

The great news about both the gift cards and the rewards points is that you should be able to use them at most Disney locations. You should be able to use them online to make purchases such as your theme park tickets and room reservations. As you move through the process to check out for your ticket or room purchase, you will come to the payment screen. About halfway down, you should see an option to put in payment information which you would select the appropriate one you wanted, either the rewards redemption card or the gift cards.

You should be able to use both of these options with things like dining and gift shops at most locations in Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. Where it gets tricky is in places like Disney Springs and with some non-Disney gift shops on Disney Cruise Line. Some of those stores or restaurants are separate third-party locations. These places might not take either form of payment. It's always a good idea to have a credit card back up with you just in case this scenario does come up where they may not take the rewards card or gift cards.

I hope this helps give you a little more guidance on where you can use your gift cards and redemption card. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
