Hi Alvin,
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about capturing your magical moments at
Disney World. I'm the photographer in my family, and I'm often on the lookout to snap photos and videos that capture my kids' smiles, laughs and the joy they feel while at the parks.
Like you, I have a pair of Ray Ban Meta Smart glasses. I've taken some really neat footage at the parks over the last year and a half - the glasses are a lot of fun! The video the glasses capture is fantastic, and watching the footage back really puts the viewer right in the rider’s seat.
I checked in with a Cast Member who verified that there is nothing that says you cannot wear your Smart Glasses on attractions. That being said, based on my personal experience, if you are looking to ride attractions such as
TRON,
Expedition Everest,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, among others, I highly recommend using a glasses strap to ensure they stay snug on your face.
I also recommend bringing a charging cable for the case and a power bank with you so you can recharge when necessary. I always find that there is so much I want to take photos of and video that a fully charged pair of glasses (and case) may not last through the day. If there are moments when you know you won't be snapping photos (like while waiting in queues), it might be a good time to charge so you're ready to go when the moment comes. Toggling off the glasses when not in use will save a lot of battery as well.
I hope this helps as you prepare for your trip, Alvin! I can't wait for you to capture some amazing footage on your upcoming adventure. Have the best time making magical memories!
Adventure is out there,
Candace
