    are the Disney resorts swimming pools salt water swimming pools?

    Hi Mary,

    Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel for assistance with your vacation planning.

    The swimming pools at Walt Disney World Resort are all treated with chlorine as opposed to being saltwater based. However, the Big Blue Pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort features an eco-friendly, saltwater filtration system and they do not use chemicals in this pool.

    A fun little tidbit of information for you: All Disney swimming pools are heated year-round to a comfortable 82 degrees. So you can, "Just keep swimming", no matter what time of year it is.
