Hello Kathryn,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Whether you are visiting next week, next year, or someday, looking forward to a
Walt Disney World vacation is filled with excitement.
Guests staying at
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are not only surrounded by Disney magic, they also get to take advantage of some extra conveniences, including complimentary
transportation throughout Walt Disney World. Guests have access to transportation to all four theme parks and Disney Springs. If monorail, boats, or
Disney Skyliner service is available, that will be the mode of transportation. When those are not available bus service is provided. For example, if you were a guest at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you would use Disney Skyliner to get to both
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and bus service would be provided to
Disney's Animal Kingdom,
Magic Kingdom, and
Disney Springs.
Most Walt Disney World Resorts have some amazing restaurants, and you don't have to be a resort guest to book a reservation to enjoy them. You can use Disney transportation to get to these resorts as well. When our family is in Magic Kingdom we love to take a boat ride over to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge for a meal at either
Whispering Canyon Café or
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White.
Another advantage of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel: guests get an extra half hour each morning at any theme park. That may not sound like a lot of time, but it will give you the ability to experience at least one really popular attraction before the rest of the guests start to arrive.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
