Do the Disney Resorts have locks for the Magic Bands? We went on a Disney cruise and they had locks so that the kids Magic Bands do not fall off. My toddler’s Magic Band keeps falling off and he wants to wear his Toy Story band.

Hey, Sarah! This is a great question, so I am glad you stopped by today. My younger daughter is extra fidgety with her MagicBand and there have been times that hers has fallen off because she did not correctly reaffix it. The locks that you mentioned are not available at Walt Disney World Resort at this time. Annual Passholders are supplied with sliders that can be slipped onto the band to better secure it. However, the sliders are not able to be purchased by all guests. I noticed in your submission that you are arriving very soon, so you may not have time to order one from third-party sellers. There are lots of stores on Etsy that make these and can even personalize them for your family. There are also some sliders listed in stores like Amazon.

Since you are short on time, I have two main options for you. The best thing you can do is to keep his MagicBand with you and give it to your son when it is needed at park and FastPass+ queue entrances. Do you happen to have an extra MagicBand linked to his profile on your My Disney Experience account? You could bring it and keep it with you for use, while deactivating his Toy Story themed MagicBand for now and letting him wear it while at the parks. If it is lost, then no worries as it won't be functional anyway and you will still have a fully functional one with you.

If you have a small screwdriver, such as one found it eyeglass repair cases, then you could remove the inner puck from his MagicBand and attach it to a MagicKeeper. These can be purchased at the parks or on shopDisney and attached to a lanyard. My daughters really like these because they always have their lanyards handy for pin trading with Cast Members and other traders.

I hope one of these suggestions helps you plan for your days at Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
