Hi Sue! I'm glad you found us here at planDisney. We are always happy to help Guests make magic on their next Disney vacation!
Stormalong Bay is probably the most epic pool area in all of the
Walt Disney World Resort. With its sandy beach, lazy river, and one of the highest waterslides in the entire resort, it's almost like its own water park! I'll actually be using this pool area for the first time
next summer and I'm so excited!
Stormalong Bay is available exclusively to Guests staying at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort,
Disney's Beach Club Resort, and
Disney's Beach Club Villas. To access the pool area, you will need to scan your
MagicBand or other ticket media.
While Stormalong Bay is cool, there are some other great benefits if you stay in one of these three locations. Since these resorts are
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, they give you access to
Early Theme Park Entry, where you get to enter the parks 30 minutes before other Guests. And since they are also
deluxe-level resorts, you'll also get access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, which gives you extra time in certain parks on certain nights. Not only that, they are steps away from
EPCOT and a
Disney Skyliner or a
water taxi ride away from
Disney's Hollywood Studios. And if you're visiting this August, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be running, and being steps away from that park is a huge advantage!
Sue, this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to reasons to stay at these three beautiful choices. While I
could go on and on all day, I'll just name a few more reasons.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a fan-favorite restaurant and is home to the legendary
Kitchen Sink sundae. You are also right on the
Disney BoardWalk, which boasts some great
restaurants and fun
nighttime entertainment. And if you ever stay here during the holiday season, they usually have some amazing holiday decor and displays!
I hope you have a wonderful visit and get to beat the summer heat at Stormalong Bay! If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out again.
Just keep swimming,
Matt
