Hello, Melissa, and thank you for bringing your question to PlanDisney!
With four amazing theme parks, two refreshing water parks, and countless resort activities, the Walt Disney World Resort offers an incredible variety of experiences. It’s no wonder it can feel overwhelming to choose where to begin. You're absolutely right to focus on planning around your family's unique needs. That’s the key to a truly magical vacation.
I recommend finding a Disney Vacation Planner who has experience working with families of children with special needs. A quick search for “special needs Disney travel agent” should help you find someone who understands your situation. If you booked your reservation within the past 30 days, you can still transfer it to the travel planner you choose. If it's been more than 30 days, the reservation would need to be canceled and rebooked. A knowledgeable travel planner can guide you through that process. Best of all, these services are paid for by Disney, so there’s no extra cost to you.
When selecting a planner, look for someone familiar with your child’s specific needs and who can also assist with
dining reservations,
Lightning Lane selections,
disability access services, and transportation logistics.
Another option to consider is booking a
Disney Private VIP Tour. While this is a premium experience, with pricing ranging from $450 to $900 per hour and a 7-hour minimum, it offers truly personalized service. Up to 10 guests can be included, and the tour guides make navigating the parks incredibly smooth and stress-free.
I hope one of these paths helps you plan a visit filled with ease and enchantment. If more questions come up, please visit us again at PlanDisney. We’re always here to help!
See you real soon,
Anne
