Welcome back to planDisney, Blanca! We love to see a returning guest even more than the Evil Queen loves to see herself in the mirror.
Blanca, as a guest who always tucks away my car keys and let’s Mickey Mouse do the driving, I’m happy to talk with you about transportation from the Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Now, while all resorts do offer complimentary buses to and from the theme parks, some also boast other options like a monorail, water taxi or the newest form of transportation: the Disney Skyliner.
If visiting Magic Kingdom Park is your highest priority, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort offer
monorail service. (
At this time the monorail service to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is temporarily suspended as the resort is undergoing a reimagining.)
If plans include
Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or visiting the many countries of EPCOT, you may want to consider a Disney Resorts Collection hotel that offers access to the Disney Skyliner. Check out
Disney’s Pop Century Resort,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort,
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort.
If you want to channel your inner Jack Sparrow and
travel by water, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn all offer water taxi service to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Boat service is also available from
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom Park.
Now, Blanca, if you would like options other than Disney bus transportation and wish to change resorts, you may do so,
pending availability at that property. To do so online, you’ll log into your My Disney Experience account and click on “My Plans.” From there, scroll until you see your reservation and a link to “Modify Reservation.”
I hope this information is helpful as you are planning ahead for your upcoming trip.
As you also inquired about special events tickets, it’s important to note that these are purchased separately and will not be included with your vacation package. If you are hoping to attend the
Disney After Hours Boo Bash, guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel can begin purchasing tickets June 8th.
Blanca, best wishes for a FRIGHTastic vacation! Please come on back to planDisney with any other questions.
Lauren
