    Can Disney resort guests purchase an individual lightning lane ride from their resort or do you need to be in the park? Thank you

    Hey there, hi there Steve!

    Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. The countdown is on, and you'll be in Walt Disney World before you know it!

    You can purchase your Individual Lightning Lanes from your resort hotel, or anywhere else while you are on vacation. As a Walt Disney World Resort Guest you can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes beginning at 7:00 AM, long before you've entered any park. You just need to make sure you have a park reservation for the park where the attraction you want to book is located, OR you need to have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets. Guests can only book Individual Lightning Lanes for 2 different attractions per day, but you can book both of them at that early time. If you have chosen an attraction in a park that you are planning to hop to, you'll only be able to select return times for 2:00 PM or later.

    Attractions that have Individual Lightning Lane purchase options are often sold out within minutes after 7:00 AM, especially Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and I suspect Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. You'll want to be ready to make these purchases as soon as they become available for the day.
