Welcome to planDisney, Ronda!
Now this is my kind of question! One of the best parts of staying at a
Disney Resort hotel is the pools. Each one has its own theme and vibe. Some feel like you’ve stepped into a tropical paradise, others like you’ve stumbled upon a pirate’s cove or a hidden oasis. Whether you're looking to cool off after a park day or just spend the afternoon lounging with a cold drink and some poolside tunes, you’ll find that Disney pools are so much more than just a place to swim—they’re part of the magic!
If I had to pick my top three, here’s how I’d rank them.
Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts is hard to beat. My family experienced it for the first time last year and we never wanted to leave. It’s huge—more like a mini water park than a regular pool—and it has a sandy bottom, lazy river, and one of the coolest slides on property (it starts in a shipwreck!). Next would be the
Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It has a massive volcano, a waterfall, a brilliant slide, a fantastic kids' splash pad area, and views of Cinderella Castle across the water. Add in a DOLE Whip from
Pineapple Lanai and you’ve got poolside perfection. In the third spot, I’d personally go with the
Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. It's got such fun pirate theming, two slides, and a splash zone that’s a huge hit with kids.
That said, I’ve got to give a shoutout to a couple of other gems. The
Uzima Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is peaceful, lush, and very relaxing—plus, you’re just steps away from spotting giraffes! And the
Dig Site Pool at Coronado Springs has serious wow-factor with its towering Mayan pyramid and one of the longest waterslides at a moderate resort.
I hope that's helpful, Ronda. I'm excited for you to experience one of these amazing pools during your next visit. Have a great time!
