Hey Howdy Hey Christine and welcome to planDisney!
One of the best parts about Walt Disney World Resort is how inclusive the whole resort is to all Guests. No matter if you are taking a multigenerational trip, have mobility issues or just need a little assistance getting around, Disney has many accommodations to help those in need.
With regards to
Resort Transportation, every hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection will have access to transportation that is accomodating to Guests in wheelchairs. All Disney
Bus transportation,
Disney Skyliner and
Disney Monorail all are capable of handling wheelchairs. So as long as you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort, we have got you covered with transportation around the resort!
If you have not already heard about it, I wanted to let you know about
Disney's Disability Access Service. If you or anyone in your party has difficulty navigating the parks or waiting in lines due to medical issues, this service may help. If you or your party member qualifies for this service, you have special access to reserving times for certain attractions in the park and returning with a reduced wait time. Disney also has some
great information available if you are concerned about any issues with transfers on any of the attractions across all four parks.
I hope this helps put your mind at ease a little while you plan your trip for later this year. If you have any further questions let us know, we love talking about all things Disney!
Happy planning,
Nick
