Greetings, Marion!
Welcome back to planDisney! Your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just a few short days away. How exciting! And it sounds as if your planning is off to a great start.
Registering for the Disability Access Service before you arrive is a great way to save time at the parks. The DAS will be ready for use when you arrive, and there is no need to stand in line at
Guest Relations to get started. I recently traveled with a member of my Ohana that also uses DAS, and we had a similar situation occur. A friendly Cast Member confirmed that once pre-arrival return times have been reserved, they cannot be changed. But Hakuna Matata, friend. No need to miss out! Though you may not be able to use the return time you previously secured for the attraction,
you can use DAS to select a return time for that same ride as soon as you enter the theme park. After you have used that return time you can select another DAS selection. The Disability Service can be used throughout the day until park closing and works in addition to the pre-arrival selections. The return time you are unable to use will expire if unused, and will not interfere with booking selections throughout the day.
Making DAS selections during your theme park day can easily be done by using the
My Disney Experience app. Tap the three bars at the bottom of the screen, and you will see a
Disability Access Service tile. Select the attraction you wish to reserve and the members of your travel party that will be joining the Guest. Then a return time equivalent to the attraction's current wait time will be linked to your account. You can return to the attraction anytime after the reserved window. Same-day selections are not limited to one-hour window return times. These same-day selections can also be modified at any time.
I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
