Does Disney provide a phone call to surprise children about their upcoming trip?

    Hi Paula!

Thanks for coming to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are getting ready for a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I love that you are planing on surprising your little ones with your trip! Unfortunately, there isn't currently a service for phone calls from Disney announcing your trip. However, there are a lot of awesome options for you to setup your own surprise!

If you will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, then you can use your complimentary MagicBands to help you share the exciting news. MagicBands are shipped a few weeks in advance in a discrete box. So you can save the box for them to open at just the right time.

If you want to be more creative with your surprise, I like to setup a surprise countdown for the kids. I get several brown paper bags and in each bag, I place items that we can use during our trip. Then each day as our trip approaches, the kids can open that day's bag and try to guess what the surprise is. I like to start out simple with things like sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses and as we get closer to our trip, put things inside that are more specific to Walt Disney World Resort. For the last day's bag, you can put MagicBands, Disney trading pins and even a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal to let them in on the surprise. It's a fun way to get excited about your trip and to make a really special memory for your kids!

Let us know if you have additional questions or if you need some additional ideas on how to surprise your family! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
