Welcome aboard, Rachel!
I’m so happy to connect with a fellow Virginian who loves to cruise! Your
Disney Cruise Line vacation is just around the riverbend, and I’m happy to help you see what’s available for ground transportation to the
Port of Miami, Florida.
Disney offers
reserved ground transportation to and from its many departure ports, and I’m happy to share that the
Hyatt Centric Brickall Miami is one of the partner hotels! Please see the
bottom of this page for the details on this hotel, which is approximately three miles from the port terminal. You may add this service to your cruise reservation through the
Disney Cruise Line website or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. Please note there is a per-person fee, and these arrangements must be secured in advance of your trip; it’s not a traditional shuttle but rather reserved transportation. Transfers with Miami International Airport are also available to and from the Port of Miami if that aligns with your pre- or post-cruise plans.
In my experience you can only book a round-trip reservation online or through the app so if you only need a ride to the port or are returning to a different location after the cruise, I advise you
call Disney Cruise Line directly to get a one-way reservation from the Hyatt Centric Brickall Miami on embarkation day. If you don’t already have a hotel stay booked, they can assist you with that as well.
I love using the Disney Cruise Line ground transportation when available for my departure port. It gives my family peace of mind knowing that Disney will take care of the logistics, timing, and traffic while I can slip into vacation mode right away and look forward to boarding the beautiful ship!
Be sure to double-check the
Disney Cruise Line Packing List and
Prohibited Items as you get ready for this special voyage, Rachel. Please let us know if you have any more questions as you finalize the details for your cruise.
Wishing you blue skies and sunshine,
Amy
