Ahoy there, Brittany!
Welcome aboard, we're happy to have you with us at planDisney!
While Disney Cruise Line does provide the option to add-on
ground transfers to some ports,
the port at Fort Lauderdale does not currently have transfers available. However, this port does have a major perk: the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is only a few miles from the port, which allows cruisers to take a quick (likely less than 15 minutes!) ride share or taxi to get to the port. Parking is also available at the terminal if you'll be renting a car, for such a short distance I would just use a ride share or taxi. You're also welcome to
call Guest Services if you need additional information about ground transportation for your specific cruise.
Will this be your first Disney Cruise Line voyage? I love to use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, even before we board the ship! The app includes the cutest countdown, it makes the wait go by a little faster. You should also explore the beautiful
Disney Dream online, so you know what you want to see first when you board! Sometimes when we board we head straight for the pool (pack your swimsuits in a carry-on bag, your luggage won't reach your stateroom right away!) but we also love to join the
Midship Detective Agency and get to know the ship!
Planning a cruise can involve a lot of details, Brittany! If you have more questions about your itinerary, ship, or ports of call I hope you will sail back over and visit us again!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
