Greetings, Jeffery and welcome to planDisney!
Jeffery, I am a huge fan of
Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages that include theme park admission, and the option to participate in either a
Quick-Service Dining Plan, or a Disney Dining Plan making our stay so much easier! Join me in keeping a
very close watch over the official
Disney Parks Blog for any upcoming announcements regarding the possible return of this convenient option. I wish I knew, Jeffery, as a Guest like yourself, I am not privy to any surprises our pal Mickey Mouse has on the horizon.
May I, in the meantime, present you with interesting alternatives?
Firstly, you can purchase multiple
Disney Gift Cards to use towards paying for any purchases, including Disney dining charges on your Disney Resort hotel Guest Room folio, or you can use them on the spot at many retail shops and dining venues on property. If you purchase a Disney Gift Card
in Canadian dollars at any retail store in Canada, any redemption at Walt Disney World Resort will be subject to an exchange rate equal to the rate at the time of use. I recommend purchasing through Disney Gift Cards to have your initial amount loaded in U.S. funds, instead of dealing with fluctuating exchange rates during your stay.
Lastly, I discovered, during my most recent stay at the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel which I booked through a Walt Disney Travel Company package, that I was eligible to utilize for each day of my stay, a
Disney Quick-Service Dine Card. It has a fixed value for each day (Guests aged 3 and up), that you can redeem at
select Quick-Service restaurants (counter service, food trucks, fast-casual, kiosks, food carts, and more Resort-wide). I loved using my card during my stay and found it offered quite significant savings.
Pro Tip - explore how
Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services can optimize your touring schedule during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort theme parks!
Jeffery, it was my pleasure assisting you today, please stop by with any other questions regarding your Disney vacation planning!
