Hello Disney family!! Tomorrow is the Princess marathon registration and I’ve tried for several years, is there any tips you can share to increase my chances to get my number?? Thanks a lot. Paulina, Mexicana viviendo en Canadá!

Hi Paulina! Welcome to my very own corner of planDisney, and thank you so much for bringing me your question. I sure hope my answer makes it to you on time!

As someone who has experienced the runDisney registration process, my biggest piece of advice is to prepare everything before registration day. The less you have to think about in the moment, the better your chances of securing the race you're hoping for.

The night before registration opens, make sure you can successfully log into both your runDisney and My Disney Experience accounts. You definitely do not want to discover a forgotten password or account issue when thousands of other runners are trying to register at the exact same time.

On registration morning, I recommend getting settled much earlier than you think you need to. If registration is scheduled to open at 10 a.m., I personally start checking the website well before that. The virtual waiting room often opens ahead of registration, but the exact timing can vary. Sometimes it appears earlier than expected, and other times it takes a little longer. The important thing is not to panic if you don't see it immediately.

Before joining the queue, have your payment method ready to go. You don't want to make it through the waiting room only to spend precious minutes searching for a credit card. If you happen to use a Disney Visa Card, you'll earn rewards that can be used on future Disney purchases. Some runners also use Disney Gift Cards for registration fees when applicable.

One thing many first-time runners don't realize is that registration details can usually be adjusted afterward. If you accidentally enter incorrect information, select the wrong pace category, or notice another small error, don't let that slow you down during registration. Your priority should be securing the race spot first. Once you're registered, you can log back into your account and review the details.

I also recommend resisting the temptation to spend too much time looking at commemorative merchandise during registration. Those extra clicks can add precious seconds to the process. Secure your race entry first, then go back afterward to browse any merchandise offerings that catch your eye.

Finally, many experienced runners like to join the queue on multiple devices. Using both a computer and a phone can sometimes result in different queue positions, potentially improving your odds of getting through more quickly. Once one device gets you into registration, simply complete the process there.

Paulina, runDisney registration days can feel a little intense, but they're also incredibly exciting. With a little preparation and a lot of Disney determination, you'll be putting yourself in the best possible position to cross that finish line someday.

    Warm hugs,

    Ana Paula
