Hi Karen! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending your question to me.
As one of the military mamas on the panel, I would like to thank you for your family's service to our country. My family is so grateful for the military discounts available to us when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort - there is nothing like together time in The Most Magical Place on Earth.
All of us here at planDisney were so excited to hear that
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside will begin welcoming Guests again on October 14, 2021. My family has stayed at this charming resort a couple of times, and we loved the beautiful landscaping and grounds. I'm happy to hear you're thinking about a stay!
Let's talk about discounts. I always recommend checking the
Special Offers webpage to see the latest offers and learn more about which might be available during your visit dates. There is a
2021 offer for a military discount on select Disney Resorts Collection hotels; this offer is for stays through December 17, 2021, and availability and pricing are subject to change. The only way to book this offer is by speaking with a friendly Cast Member, so please call (407) 939-7830 to learn more about pricing and availability for your dates. If you're planning a 2022 vacation, we're still waiting to learn if there will be a military offer; those offers are usually released in later summer or early fall for the next year.
The
current Florida resident discount is for summer visits and expires before Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is scheduled to reopen. I would keep an eye on the Special Offers webpage and the Disney Parks Blog for any future offers. Pro tip: if you sign in to your
My Disney Experience account before checking the Special Offers page, you may be able to view additional discounts for which you are eligible, such as Annual Passholder or Florida Resident offers.
Have so much fun planning and dreaming about your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. It goes without saying, but be sure to take a peaceful walk along the Sassagoula River to pick up some Mickey-shaped beignets at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. They are a fan-favorite and oh-so-delicious - Princess Tiana would definitely approve!
Thanks for bringing your question to me, Karen. Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
