Has the Disney pools hours changed to now close at 8? Swimming after the parks is something my kids have looked forward to for years

    Hi Colleen!

The Walt Disney World Resorts are all known for their great pools and water areas where guests can relax and enjoy their time away from the theme parks. Most resorts will even have more then one pool allowing guests options from quiet secluded areas to the fun slide areas.

Over the last few years Disney has made the decision to have pool hours at the resorts. When lifeguards are done for the day so are the pools accessibility for the guests. Each resort will determine their own pool hours and they will change depending on the time of year. During winter months when the temperatures are cooler the pools will likely close earlier such as 8pm. But most will stay open quite late in the summer months which allows guests to return from the parks and still enjoy swims in the heat of the evening. Some pools have been known to stay open until midnight when its hot and crowded at Walt Disney World.

Pools are now enclosed and gated and guests must show their Magic Bands to enter. Pool hopping is not possible from Resort to resort unless a pool is under refurbishment and then your resort will let you know where you can go to enjoy a pool.

I am confident if the weather is warm and sunny your resort will offer pool hours in the evening past the 8pm mark when possible.
