Does Disney have ponchos for kids? If so, how long are they? I am looking for my just turning 4 year old. Cost?

    Hi Becky,

I always tell guests to pack ponchos when they visit Walt Disney World, and I always forget to pack them.  I have had to purchase them on several occasions.  They do, indeed, sell ponchos for children.  I'm not sure of the exact length, but I know the poncho came down to my daughter's ankles when she was 3.  This worked well, because when she sat in the stroller, we could tuck it around her and still keep her nice and dry.

I believe the ponchos are around $7 (prices subject to change).  Children's sizes cost slightly less.  Yes, they are more expensive, but the quality is good.  My little one has ripped hers before, and we were able to replace it at no extra cost.

The one downside (besides cost) to WDW ponchos is that it can be difficult to distinguish guests when they are all dressed the same.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
