Hi - Disney planning fail - I was not able to make any dining reservations for my upcoming trip to Disneyland and DCA. What are your recommendations for easy meals at both parks, party of two. We haven't been since 2019, anything we must see and do?

Hey there, hi there, Vanessa! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm so excited to hear that you have an upcoming visit back to Disneyland Resort.

While you may see it as a fail, I think you are a-okay heading to Disneyland Resort without dining reservations. There really are so many great quick service options throughout the park. Over at Disneyland Park, my go-to options for quick and easy are usually a Ronto Wrap at Ronto Roasters, something from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, or some delicious skewers from Bengal Barbecue. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, my family's favorite spot is Pym Test Kitchen or Paradise Garden Grill. The great thing about all of these locations is that they all have the mobile order options, so you can order ahead of time or in between attractions and avoid waiting in an ordering line!

If you were hoping for a particular location that does take advance reservations, you may still have some luck. Disneyland Resort has the mobile walk-up list and at participating locations, you can get on a waitlist through the Disneyland app. Lamplight Lounge is my favorite location to enjoy a meal and Lamplight Lounge - Boardwalk Dining does participate in the mobile walk-up list. Another location, just outside of the park GCH Craftsman Bar is another favorite option of mine located overlooking the pools at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. This has great food and drink options and is the perfect place to escape from the parks while still being very close by.

The biggest addition or change since your last visit will be Avengers Campus! So be sure to spend some time there, you never know who may see hanging out above at Avengers Headquarters or walking by you! You'll also be there at the beginning of Halloween time! Don't miss Cars Land and all the spooky decor. It's my favorite! My other favorite thing about Halloween at Disneyland Resort is the limited-time food and treats, and I am impatiently waiting for the Disney Parks Blog to release their Foodie Guide.

Vanessa, I'm so excited for you to return to The Happiest Place on Earth! Thanks again for stopping by. See you real soon!

You'll find us in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can fit in! I love helping my friends plan memorable trips to Disneyland Resort and can't wait to help you too! Learn More About Carrie
