Hi Hannah!
Welcome to planDisney! How nice of you to drop by with a question!
With a trip coming up late November, I am right there with you wishing on the evening star. I am sad to say that we have no official word on when fireworks and traditional parades will return. When the parks and resorts return to "normal" operations will depend on when and how they can do so safely. Our last visit was actually last December, and it was absolutely magical.
Since we are missing the magic, we plan to go in November even if our visit will not be as it was last year. My girls have reminded me that magic happens in all kinds of ways and I need to rely on our adventurous spirits to find the joy when we return again. We are checking the
operational updates, paying particular attention to
dining updates and
theme park experiences. Even though we may not be able to experience the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, there are occasional cavalcades with characters who are delighted to greet adoring fans (from a distance, of course!).
By far, my family's favorite fireworks show is the
Happily Ever After spectacular in Magic Kingdom. We have our favorite viewing spot and our strategy for securing that viewing spot. So, I understand your dilemma. I will say that hope lives on for us. If you can wait for a few more months before making a decision, I would. If you have not done so already, follow the Disney Parks Blog for updates and make sure you have your
Disney Park Pass system reservations. Last but certainly not least, watch a little of The Princess and the Frog to see how to do some real wishing on stars!
Hannah, sending you a little extra pixie dust trusting that we will get to welcome you back to a
world of magic in December! In the meantime, take a look at this
virtual viewing of Happily Ever After. It makes my heart smile EVERY time.
Magic and memories,
Donyell
