Hello, Vickie. Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sailing to us with your question.
It looks like you'll soon be packing your suitcases and heading off for fun and adventure aboard Disney Cruise Line. I'd be happy to help you feel prepared as the big day approaches. Vickie, when you arrive at the airport, you will need to gather your luggage from the baggage claim. If you have purchased a
ground transfer with Disney Cruise Line, you will receive information (typically 24-48 hours in advance) about where to meet for your transportation to the port. Once you arrive at the designated meeting place, you can place your Disney Cruise Line
luggage tags onto your suitcases and follow the instructions given by the Disney Cruise Line representative. In my experience, when traveling to the port from the Orlando International Airport, I have been able to hand my luggage to agents near the motorcoach, and the luggage is handled from that point forward. I see it again when it is delivered to the stateroom in the late afternoon.
I hope that information helps! One last tip... It's a great idea to download (or update) the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to your smartphone before leaving home if you haven't done so already. The app will be your compass to point you toward all of the fun activities, exciting entertainment, and delicious dining offerings onboard! If you have additional questions, please drop us a line at planDisney any time. My pals and I want you to have a magical cruise experience.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
