Bright suns, Andrew! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu!
I am so excited to hear that you will have the opportunity to visit
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge when it opens at
Disney's Hollywood Studios! I am also glad to hear that you are planning to take advantage of
extra, Extra Magic Hours. This benefit will give
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guests extra time to explore Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and select other attractions from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Extra, Extra Magic Hours will be offered daily from September 1 to November 2, 2019.
The Force is strong with my family, so we are also looking forward to traveling to Batuu. Like you, my son has autism, and we use
Disability Access Service (DAS) when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort. In my experience, we have been able to use Disability Access Service any time of day, even when we visit the theme parks during the early morning hours. From what we have heard so far, Disability Access Service will operate in the same manner for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge as it does in all other areas of the theme parks.
I hope you and your family have a blast flying the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. I was able to pilot the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opened at Disneyland Resort. That was a childhood dream come true! I hope you will enjoy living out your very own Star Wars adventure during your visit.
'Til the Spires!
Samantha
