Hi Karen, and welcome to planDisney!
Living up in the Peach State means you're within a pretty easy driving distance to the Walt Disney World Resort, so you probably love to plan spur-of-the-moment trips as much as we Floridians do. It sounds like you might be trying to buy tickets for a weekend jaunt right now. While all four theme parks are indeed open,
Disney is still limiting capacity in the parks for the health and safety of Guests and Cast Members. One of the ways they do that is by requiring Guests like us to make
Disney Park Pass reservations in advance for the parks we want to visit. If you take a look at the
Theme Park Reservations Availability Calendar, the days that are shaded in gray have no parks available, while yellow days have at least one park available and green means all parks still have reservations left. That's what's happening with tickets for this weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are all shaded in gray, meaning reservation capacity has been reached and no more tickets are available. Your best bet at this point when planning future visits to Walt Disney World is to use the calendar as your guide, and then make your theme park reservations as soon as possible after
purchasing tickets.
Karen, one thing to keep in mind is that on days where at least one park has availability, you can make a Disney Park Pass reservation for that park and hop to another later in the day! You just need to add the
Park Hopper Option onto your tickets and be sure to visit the park where you have a reservation first. Then, when park hopping opens after 2 p.m. (as of this writing, but subject to change, so keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest), you can visit any other parks you like without making another reservation. It's a great way to get the most out of your Disney days!
I hope this helps you plan a magical visit to Walt Disney World as soon as you can, Karen. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
