Howdy Sara!
Mid November is a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World! You are correct, in the past, the crowds have typically been a bit lighter than they are during other parts of the year.
If your schedule will allow you to spend some time at Epcot on the day you arrive, you will be able to enjoy the final day of the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. It's a fantastic event that seems to have more and more to offer with each year.
You will also be able to enjoy some of the holiday events such as
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom!!
When travelling throughout Walt Disney World Resort using Disney Transportation, it's good to plan around an hour to get to your final destination. This is especially important if you have reservations at a specific time. It typically takes approximately 20 minutes or less to drive to most any location at Walt Disney World Resort. The remaining 40 minute buffer allows for wait times/other Resort hotel stops.
If you will be using a personal vehicle, I would still give yourself an hour when visiting the Magic Kingdom so that you give yourself plenty of time to get parked at the Transportation and Ticket Center and make your way to Magic Kingdom by boat or Monorail.
I'm so excited for you! You will be staying at a wonderful Resort hotel during a fabulous time of year!! I know you are going to love every moment of your Walt Disney World vacation!!
Thanks for your question and please let me know if you need any further information. Have a magical day!
