I am going to Disney parks on February 14. The After Dark event is sold out. Does this mean I have to leave or can I plan after dark dinner reservations and stay with my general admission ticket?

Hi Vannara! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to ask us a question about dining.

Spending Valentine's Day at The Happiest Place on Earth will be so much fun! The Disneyland AFTER DARK events are always very popular, and I'm sorry you weren't able to get tickets to the sold-out Sweethearts’ Nite. I was looking at the hours for restaurants at Disneyland Park, and table service locations will only be offering dinner until 6:00 p.m., except Blue Bayou Restaurant which will offer dinner until 7:00 p.m. If you want to make the most of your park time, I recommend enjoying all that the theme park has to offer. Your Theme Park Ticket will allow you to stay in the theme park until 8:00 p.m. I suggest that you make an Advanced Dining Reservation for a dining location outside the theme park at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels or in the Downtown Disney District. This will give you the maximum time to enjoy Disneyland Park and you can still have a great meal to look forward to with your valentine!

Speaking of food, be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog website and Disney Eats on Instagram. The foodie guide for Valentine's Day is one I always look forward to seeing. There will be lots of eats and treats to enjoy before it's time for dinner!

If you have more planning questions before you arrive, please stop by planDisney again. No matter what time of the year it is, we love helping guests like you!

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
    Lisa
