    John:

Typically, if folks ask me about transportation, I recommend using your car to come and go for every park except for Magic Kingdom. Port Orleans: French Quarter is within a short distance of both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios so it rarely makes sense to wait on the Disney bus transportation that makes several stops next door at Port Orleans: Riverside.

But parking for Magic Kingdom is a different animal. You do not have immediate park access like the parking lots of the other three theme parks at Walt Disney World. For the Magic Kingdom, you will park your car and either ride the monorail or the ferry to the park. In my opinion, if you're going to do that, you should just take a Disney bus from your resort that will drop you off within steps of the front gates. With that said, you can take the monorail over to the Contemporary from the Magic Kingdom for the fireworks cruise and then ride it back around to the Magic Kingdom to walk back to the bus pavilion when your evening is over to find the bus to POFQ.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
