Hi Laurie!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!
What awesome parents you are, to be chaperoning this fun Walt Disney World Resort adventure with your family and lots of friends. You're sure to make memories that will last a lifetime!
It's true that when Disney
theme park tickets are purchased with a credit card online, the cardholder needs to be the one to pick up the pass.Only the guest with the credit card used to make the purchase and matching photo ID can pick up the tickets at Guest Relations at Walt Disney World Resort.
I spoke with a Disney Cast Member to find out the best way around such a situation. The best solution is to have your friends purchase Disney Gift Cards in the amount they plan to spend on the tickets, and use the gift cards to purchase the park tickets online. If a Disney gift card is used to make the purchase, you will not need to present a credit card or ID to pick up the tickets at Guest Relations. Disney Gift Cards can be purchased at many major retailers, such as Walmart, Walgreens or CVS.
I hope this helps, and I hope you have a most magical Walt Disney World vacation! - Diane W.
