    Is Disney offering the free dining plan the week of Aug 18th-25th? Can vacation club members take advantage of this offer?

    Hello, Bill!

    To my knowledge, the free dining which was offered for the fall did not include those dates in August; the dates began a bit later than that.

    Disney Vacation Club Members can take advantage of any offer that other Guests are entitled to, provided they also meet the requirements. This means that Members staying on DVC points have not purchased the package which qualifies them for free dining. If, however, a DVC Member decides to book a Magic Your Way package which includes free dining, then add on a separate vacation using points, he or she could certainly do so. The free dining, however, would only be effective during the package stay.

    Keep in mind that when offers are made on Disney World.com, the dollar amount and details listed there are often just examples, not requirements. We're heading to WDW in September, for example, but don't need park passes, which were listed as part of a package with free dining. When I called to inquire about availability, I was told that that package was just an example, and that we could take advantage of the free dining offer as long as we booked a package (not on DVC points) which met the minimum night requirement and purchased at least a 2 day Park Hopper pass.
