Does Disney offer transportation from the Orlando Airport to the New Orleans resort?

Hey there, Sara. Welcome to planDisney

Sara, Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter was the first resort I ever stayed at as a little girl. This particular resort holds so many special memories for me and I am really excited to know that you'll be staying there in just a few short months.

The theming of this resort is just incredible and keeping in line with the New Orleans feel, you'll be able to enjoy fresh beignets every day if you would like. And let me tell you, they are incredible. You can find the fresh, made-to-order beignets at the Scat Cat's Club from about 7:00 a.m. until around 11:00 p.m. each day. The Mickey-shaped beignets with the strawberry dipping sauce is my favorite but the salted caramel and the chocolate ganache dipping sauces are pretty amazing too. If you'd like to kick your beignets up a bit you can also get them infused with Bailey's Irish Cream, Kahlua, or RumCHata Liqueur for a fun adult version of this tasty treat.

At the start of this year, Sara, Walt Disney World discontinued its service to and from the airports to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. Now, you'll need to provide your own transportation to and from the airport. There are several outside companies that offer this service and you should be able to find them with a quick internet search. Mears was the company that had a contract with Walt Disney World before that helped with the Magical Express. Now that that is no longer available they've started what's called Mears Connect. That seems to be a pretty popular company that Guests have been really happy with the service. If I were you, I'd start there. You can also use a ride-share service to get you to Walt Disney World which is typically what I do. Ride-share services can drop you off right outside of your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel lobby and there are always plenty around the airports.

I hope this helps, Sara. If you have any other questions while you finish planning your Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
