Greetings, Christy, and welcome to planDisney! Your Disneyland Resort visit is just around the corner, and the fun will begin with a flight into California – how exciting! Let's talk about how you can make the connection from the airport to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Christy, Disney does not currently offer transportation from Hollywood Burbank Airport to the Disneyland Resort. However, you do have
several options to consider for the approximately 40-mile journey between Burbank and Anaheim. It's just a matter of choosing the option that works best for you and then making arrangements.
There's a train station just across the street from Hollywood Burbank Airport. I've made the walk from the terminal to the station platform, and it takes less than 10 minutes. Depending on your arrival time, the train could be a convenient option. I personally like riding the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner between Burbank and Anaheim, since it typically doesn’t require a mid-trip transfer. From the Anaheim Station, you could board a bus for a short trip to the Resort.
You may also choose to rent a car after arriving at the airport. There are multiple options within the area. Did you know there's also
a car rental office at the Pixar Place Hotel, just a short walk from the Disneyland Hotel? This can be especially convenient if you’d like to rent or return vehicles from the Resort area.
Shared-ride shuttles or rideshare services are also available. Regardless of which transportation option you choose, planning ahead will help ensure a smooth and stress-free transition from your flight to your hotel.
Christy, since your trip is coming up soon, you’ve likely already booked your hotel and secured your theme park tickets. Still, it’s worth noting that when you book a
Disneyland Resort hotel vacation package from the Walt Disney Travel Company, you may have an option to add ground transportation for an additional cost. The options are either a rental car or a private transfer from a third-party shuttle service from select airports.
I have to say, I'm so excited for you to experience the magic of staying at the
Disneyland Hotel. The nostalgic theming, paired with modern touches, makes for an immersive and comfortable experience. The rooms are full of charming details, such as headboards at each bed with twinkling fireworks, Mickey glove accents on the lamps, and framed artwork. The
pool area is a standout feature, and a great place to relax in between theme park outings. Be sure to ask the front desk for a schedule of
exclusive hotel Guest activities, such as movie nights, drawing sessions, and hotel tours.
Christy, I hope your upcoming visit is full of happy moments and lots of fun. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Kriss
