Welcome, Michael!
Oh boy, it sounds like you’re planning a fabulous land-and-sea adventure! I also love both the
Walt Disney World Resort and sailing with
Disney Cruise Line, so I’m excited to share this information with you to help plan a seamless trip. While these are two distinct vacation destinations, they do offer a partnership in supporting Guests who wish to enjoy the best of both worlds for one exciting experience.
Yes, Disney Cruise Line does offer ground transportation between the
Walt Disney World Resort hotels and
Port Canaveral. They also offer transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport (including the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport) and Port Canaveral. At this time, transportation from the Walt Disney World Resort is not available to the new port of
Fort Lauderdale given the distance, but ground transportation is offered in every
departure port around the world from other area partner hotels and airports serving that region.
This
ground transportation service is not a shuttle, but rather a paid reservation that must be secured in advance of your trip. You do this from the Disney Cruise Line side of your two-part vacation by navigating to
Already Booked > Ground Transportation on the
Disney Cruise Line website, or by adding Transportation after logging into your reservation on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. You may also
call Disney to reserve this service, and please note that if you only require one-way transportation, you must call as the online options default to round-trip. This transportation service incurs a per person fee.
I love using this personalized transportation service when we sail with Disney Cruise Line! If you’re planning a pre- or post-cruise stay at the Walt Disney World Resort, this is a perfect way to stay in “vacation mode” and leave the driving and details up to Disney! You will receive additional communications as to your pick-up location and time before embarkation day. Using the ground transportation service also means that your luggage will be managed from the time you get on the transport until it magically awaits you in your stateroom! What could be better?
I hope this gets you excited and helps you understand what’s possible for your next land-and-sea voyage, Michael. Combing these two incredible vacation destinations sounds like a dream come true, and I know your family will have an amazing time.
Please
send me any additional questions you have directly, as I answer questions about both the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line and would love to help you chart a course for this special adventure!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy
