Welcome back to planDisney, Robert! It looks like you’ll be adding to your
Castaway Club status very soon, so I’m thrilled to help you with this question.
Fort Lauderdale is one of my top choices of ports to sail from because of its convenience to not only the airport, but also the highway and the Brightline. In fact, it’s only about 7 miles from the train station to Port Everglades. While there is not a Disney shuttle that runs that route, I recommend using a rideshare service as it should take you 20 minutes or less, depending on traffic.
There is so much to see and do in and around
Fort Lauderdale, both before and after your cruise. Did you know that you can book
Port Adventures for embarkation and debarkation days? Whether you decide to take a stroll down Las Olas or grab a burger and iconic shake at BRGR STOP, it’s definitely worth scheduling some extra time on the front end and back end of your trip.
If you have any other questions about
Ground Transportation or even activities to book while onboard, we’d be delighted to help you again here at
planDisney!
Embrace the magic,
Sami
