Ahoy, Steve! Thanks for bringing your question over to planDisney. It looks like you will be sailing away with Disney Cruise Line in just a matter of weeks, so I’m happy to help you figure out those last minute details.
At this time, Disney Cruise Line does not offer any
ground transfers from Miami International Airport. The only ground transfers that are currently offered in Florida are either between Orlando International Airport and
Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport and
Port Everglades. You are welcome to arrange your own transportation to either port and will find parking options adjacent to the cruise terminals should you require it.
Be sure to factor in your designated
Port Arrival Time when you arrange your own transportation to the port. After you complete the Online Check-In process, you will receive a Port Arrival Form that specifies when your party is scheduled to arrive on embarkation day. The Port Arrival Form will include both your Arrival Time, which is a 15-minute period (e.g., 11:30 AM-11:45 AM), as well as your Boarding Group number. It is very important to show up at the correct time because guests who arrive prior to their Port Arrival Time will be asked to wait to enter the cruise terminal until their scheduled time in order to minimize congestion during the check-in process.
After you hand over your luggage, the terminal agents at check-in will verify the members of your party, review your citizenship documentation, and activate any
DisneyBand+ that you bring along for your sailing. You will then wait inside the terminal area for your Boarding Group number to be called, so that you can begin your adventure where magic meets the sea.
When your Boarding Group number is called, you will have the opportunity to take your first photos and will then be welcomed aboard as an honored guest of Captains Mickey and Minnie. Take a moment to enjoy the thrill of your party’s welcome announcement because, from that point forward, you are officially on vacation! Then check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see which dining options are open for lunch and the schedule of events for your entire sailing.
Since your cruise is scheduled for the end of the month, I know that you are counting down the days. Don’t worry because you will be onboard very soon. Happy sailing!
